Launched in November 2022, ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI. Although it is still in its infancy, ChatGPT has already become a sensation and has attracted admiration and criticism. The notable linguist Noam Chomsky recently described the ChatGPT chatbot as, in essence, high-tech plagiarism. On the other hand, there are already many Facebook groups discussing the usefulness of ChatGPT, and some practical examples can be found online at https://platform.openai.com/examples
Plagiarism can also be produced not only by ChatGPT, but by rewriting published texts with the help of Quillbot, DeepL Writer, Paraphrase tools, Wordfixer Bot, AI Article Spinner, SpinBot, and other online tools. Deepl Writer is especially good at paraphrasing sentences and offers the user several choices in the selection of sentences.

"vAcademia is a 3D virtual world designed for collaborative learning. It enables a new approach to educational activities in virtual worlds, which is based on a new vision of content and learning process. The most distinct feature of vAcademia is 3D recording which allows capturing everything in a given virtual world location in dynamics. The resultant recordings can be not only watched later, but also visited, providing students with a collaboration space and giving a sense of presence. 3D recording is conceptually different from video recording or screen capturing. In such a manner, vAcademia supports a new type of digital content – 3D recording or virtcast which is created based on synchronous activities. In addition, this platform has an integrated set of tools for collaborative learning which substitute those commonly used in physical classrooms, but also allows implementing new learning scenarios that are not possible or costly in reality. " (source)
"VirBELA is a virtual reality company that connects remote workers from around the world in an online environment. They work, collaborate and talk exactly as they would do in the real world, except there is no commute and no one has to wear a tie (although you can change your avatar’s clothes each day). .. What is it like inside VirBELA’s virtual workplace? Think of it like a large sunny university or corporate campus. There are communal meeting spaces where employees can have impromptu chats; auditoriums that can hold hundreds (and can quickly expand if more space is needed); offices where leadership can schedule meetings; and, of course, the speedboat. Yes, there is a speedboat, great for informal discussions or just a quick break from the workday. " (source)
Nobody could predict the impact that COVID-19 would have on our world; it changed so much of our daily routines. The stigma of living in the new normal is haunting. As unhinged, to some extent, as it might seem, and maybe even unrealistic, the world doesn't stop revolving and functioning even as such a detrimental health crisis falls upon its shoulders. A lot of changes have had to take place within the ongoing duration of the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
One of those changes made online learning a must, but it's quite a win-win situation. It's common knowledge that today's generation is greatly knowledgeable when it comes to technology due to living in a highly-digitized world. It's rational to utilize the wonders that technology brings into continuing the practices adopted and implemented by the education sector globally, but now through online learning programs.

The knowledge of languages is a competitive advantage for humans because it can be extremely beneficial for one's future and career. Language acquisition has been proven to increase a learner's cognitive function, which includes ― but is not limited to ― improved problem-solving abilities and memory function.
Vocabulary learning is crucial to language acquisition, according to Jeanette Decarrico (2001), whether the language is a first, second or foreign language. After people have learned vocabulary in their first language (L1), also known as the "native language" or "mother tongue," the process of acquiring vocabulary in the second language (L2), referred to as second language vocabulary acquisition, occurs.
